Deborah Kunzie

Deborah Kunzie, passionate lover of the natural world, captures the lives of Florida’s wild birds like no other photographer. She has a keen knack for seizing a second of flight, a bit of reverie, or the art of daily avian activity. Expression and connection underlies each of her attempts to grab the moment before it is gone forever. On most days she can be found sneaking around in the woods or wading through swamps in her home State of Florida.

“I like to get up-close and personal with birds as they truly do fascinate me. It’s all about the expressions. They tell a story to those willing to notice. My passion for bird/wildlife photography has been an integral part of my life. I love telling stories of nature through the lens of my camera. Nature has much to offer.”

A friend asked me at one time, “If you could be anything in the world, what would it be?”
My answer, “A Wildlife, Nature Photographer!
Photography is my passion! I live for the perfect shot.
Each aspect of wildlife is so incredibly different.
I specialize in photographing birds, and our sensitive wildlife. There is a healing quality from Nature and I am fascinated with its presence.
The message in my photographs is an expression of my belief in a Creator.
Nature takes care of my soul. It is my sanctuary and I photograph it to educate the world about the critical issues it faces. I use my talents to reach far beyond sales of prints and books, I do it to help preserve our wild places.
